Kristine Schmidt is Goleta’s New Deputy City Manager

Schmidt has spent the last 22 years working for the city of Santa Barbara in a variety of positions. She began as an administrative analyst with the city administrator’s office and was a human resources analyst.
After five years in that role, she became the employee relations manager for the city administrator’s office. For the last five years, she has served as the director of administrative services.
During her tenure with Santa Barbara, Schmidt also received her JD from Santa Barbara College of Law. She also holds a BA in Spanish from UCSB.
“I am very excited to begin working with Kristy,” said Michelle Greene, Goleta city manager. “Her experience working at the city of Santa Barbara has set her on a path for success as our deputy city manager.
“She brings a wide variety of skills and new ideas to the position, and will be a great addition to the team.”
