Gabriella Yap Named Deputy City Manager for the City of Beverly Hills

Beverly Hills, CA (November 15, 2019) – After a comprehensive and competitive recruitment process, Gabriella Yap has been named Deputy City Manager for the City of Beverly Hills.  Ms. Yap currently serves as Deputy City Manager for the City of Rancho Palos Verdes.

Reporting directly to the City Manager, Ms. Yap will lead citywide projects, assist with the implementation of City Council initiatives, and provide essential support to the City Manager and Assistant City Manager.

Ms. Yap has more than 15 years of public sector experience working in leadership roles at the County of Los Angeles Chief Executive Office and at municipalities across Southern California, including the City of La Habra Heights where she served as Assistant City Manager.

She earned her Bachelor of Arts from UCLA and her Masters of Public Policy and Administration from Cal State Long Beach. Ms. Yap is a member of Women Leading Government and the International City/County Management Association (ICMA), where she is a candidate to receive designation as an ICMA Credentialed Manager.  She will start with the City on December 9.
