The City of Lake Forest, California is conducting a state-wide search for the position of Traffic Engineering Manager. With a proven track record of success with a similar municipal organization in traffic engineering, transportation planning, and design and implementation of traffic control systems, the City seeks a candidate with who excels at community engagement and has a passion for improving traffic in a suburban community.  The Traffic Engineering Manager position is an excellent opportunity for a career motivated individual to provide responsible staff assistance to the Public Works Director/City Engineer and oversee the Traffic Engineering Division.  A key responsibility of the position is to staff and serve the Traffic and Parking Commission, including attending regular meetings and preparing and presenting reports.

A Bachelor’s degree in civil and/or traffic engineering or a closely related field of study is required. This position requires a minimum of 5 years of increasingly responsible professional level experience in traffic engineering; including 2 years of administrative or supervisory experience. The position also requires possession of a valid Certificate of Registration as a Traffic Engineer or Civil Engineer issued by the California State Board of Registration for Professional Engineers. The City of Lake Forest is offering a competitive salary of $109,536 – $142,392.
