The City of Sacramento, California is seeking a Business & Revenue Manager to supervise, plan, and coordinate the City’s revenue and cash collection functions and business operations. Reporting to the Director of Finance, the Business & Revenue Manager will be responsible for related sections of the Budgets and Finance Division of the Administrative Services Department with 3 direct reports and additional staff totaling 38. This position addresses the business operation needs for the City of Sacramento related to cash collections, revenue and business operations tax (“BOT”), and licenses. The ideal candidate will possess strong financial acumen with successful oversight of administrative and fiscal activities, preferably in a public agency, with a heavy emphasis on business operations, cash collections, and revenue. Designation as a Certified Public Accountant is highly desirable. The additional following certifications would be beneficial: CPFO (Certified Public Finance Officer), CGFM (Certified Government Financial Manager), or CMA (Certified Management Accountant). This position requires six years of experience in government finance or accounting, including two years of supervisory and management responsibility. Additionally, a Bachelor’s degree is required. The salary range for this position is $108,962.32 to $142,968.00 DOQ. Additionally, the City offers an excellent benefits package including CalPERS retirement.
