The Ocean Reef Community Association (ORCA) Board of Directors is seeking a highly-skilled public administrator to serve as President with a can-do attitude, eager to contribute his/her creative and insightful leadership to help shape the future of this premier residential community. This is an extraordinary career opportunity to join one of the most world renowned, charming, and beautiful small resort coastal communities in the United States. ORCA is located on the northernmost tip of Key Largo in the Florida Keys nestled among 2,500 acres of secluded and lush tropics and is home to a variety of residential real estate properties including 1,700 waterfront estates, private homes, townhomes, and condominiums. This is an at-will executive position appointed by the Board of Directors and performs high level operations for ORCA. The President is accountable for leading a dynamic and robust organization of approximately 90 highly capable full-time staff and a 2019 Operating Budget of $20,372,900 and Capital Budget of $7,511,200.
This position requires a Bachelor’s degree and substantial executive level experience overseeing and leading a public sector organization or department with a strong emphasis on organizational expertise. Knowledge of and/or experience with FEMA disaster preparedness (Hurricanes) and disaster recovery policies and procedures are a plus. Must possess or be able to obtain the Florida Community Association Manager (CAM) license within six months of employment and must maintain an active license throughout your tenure. Appointment to this position does not require residency within the ORCA community.
