The McKinney Economic Development Corporation (MEDC) is conducting a national search for its next President to help lead this era of explosive growth in the Dallas-Fort Worth region. The MEDC President who oversees a total staff of 9.5 FTE employees and an annual operating budget of $13.7 million. The City of McKinney and the MEDC, have taken a conservative approach to their finances, earning the City an S&P AAA bond rating and creating a fiscally sound organization. A Bachelor’s degree in economic development, public or business administration, economics, or a closely-related field. Eight years of experience in progressively responsible roles in economic development, commercial real estate, or a closely-related field. Any work-related experience resulting in acceptable proficiency levels in the above Minimum Qualifications is an acceptable substitute for the above-specified education and experience requirements.
