The Metropolitan Transportation Commission (MTC) is seeking highly experienced professionals for the positions of Section Director, Design & Project Delivery and Section Director, Field Operations & Asset Management. Both positions report directly to the Deputy Executive Director, Operations and are the result of a recent internal restructuring. Functioning as members of MTC’s senior management team, both Section Directors are responsible for overseeing each respective section plus outside consultants and contractors (as needed).
A Master’s degree is desired. Alternatively, a Bachelor’s degree with an equivalent combination of education and experience is acceptable. Both positions require a minimum of six years of increasingly responsible experience effectively leading and managing a division or department doing related work. Preferred candidates will have direct experience leading departments that include design, planning and/or construction of transportation projects, transportation operations, or related disciplines. PE-Civil license in California and/or certification by AICP is desired. The annual salary range for each of these positions is $177,963 to $221,276 (DOQ) and includes CalPERS retirement. Candidates should be aware that MTC does NOT participate in Social Security except for Medicare.
