The Inland Empire Utilities Agency (IEUA/Agency) is seeking a solution-oriented and innovative professional to serve as its next Manager of Information Technology. Located in the southwest corner of San Bernardino County and serving approximately 875,000 residents, the Agency focuses on supplying imported water; collecting, treating, and recycling wastewater; and providing other utility-related services to the communities it serves. This newly created position of Manager of IT will report to the Executive Manager of Operations/Assistant General Manager and will contribute to a variety of key technology initiatives across the entire organization. Specific focus on records management will be a future priority. Importantly, this position also guides and has oversight of the increasingly critical cyber security function (with one dedicated staff member).
A Bachelor’s degree and 10 years of progressively responsible experience in computer science, computer systems, and/or network administration with at least three years of experience at a project management or supervisory level; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. Specific experience in establishing cybersecurity and risk metrics for reporting is desired. The following certifications are strongly desired: MCSA or CCNA, CISM or CISSP, and ITIL.
The salary range for this position is $159,743 to $194,632 DOQ. Additional compensation up to $1,000 annually will be added for related professional certifications as detailed in this recruitment announcement. Additionally, a generous benefits package is provided including CalPERS Retirement.
