The Inland Empire Utilities Agency (IEUA) is seeking a solution-oriented, innovative, and well-rounded professional to serve as its next Manager of Human Resources. Reporting to the Director of Human Resources, the Manager of Human Resources will oversee a talented team of 7 FTE staff. The primary responsibility of this position is to serve as the day-to-day operations manager of the HR Department overseeing all related functions. Operational oversight will also include monitoring and planning daily activities and workflow for the HR Team as well as being proactive in strategically preparing for future needs in both the short- and long-term. Additional oversight responsibility will include managing the department budget, creating and presenting staff reports for the Board, and administering benefits and leave programs. The ideal candidate for Manager of Human Resources will have deep experience in managing the day-to-day operations of a full-service human resources department.
Bachelor’s degree and 10 years of progressively responsible experience in human resource management including labor management relations, at least five of which were in a supervisory or program management capacity; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. Experience in a public agency is preferred. SHRM certification, PHR certification, or similar certification is desired.
The salary range for this position is $153,715 to $187,287 (+ 3% approved across-the-board increase as of July 2023) with placement based upon qualifications and experience. Generous benefits are also provided including CalPERS retirement. Additionally, IEUA has an organization-wide 4/10 workweek with remote hybrid work schedule available.
