Marin Municipal Water District is currently recruiting for an Information Technology Manager. The District has over 240 full-time employees and a combined annual operating and capital budget of $112 million for FY2019. Reporting to the Finance Director, the IT Manager serves as the department head for a team that supports the District’s complex multi-platform computer systems and oversees a staff of 8. Responsibilities include strategic planning, managing enterprise systems such as Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), data centers, networks, system and cyber security, disaster recovery projects, and internet services. Software currently in place includes SAP Resource Planning, Microsoft Suite, and various legacy systems. The ideal candidate will lead the District’s efforts toward cost effective and efficient technology solutions and will play an important role in influencing the direction of ongoing and future technology decisions.
Requires a Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of information systems work experience with 3 years of supervisory experience leading a team in the information technology field. Experience with a special district or local government agency is beneficial. Specific experience dealing with ERP systems including various modules is a plus. Experience migrating to new platforms including cloud-based storage and software will be beneficial. Utility related software and technology such as SCADA systems is not required.
Annual salary range for this position is $151,884 to $192,636 depending upon the qualifications (with an expected 2 to 3% salary adjustment starting July 1, 2020). The District offers an excellent benefits package including CalPERS retirement.
