Union County is conducting a national search for an experienced, progressive, strategic, and technology savvy professional to collaboratively address the array of opportunities that confront day-to-day operations. This position reports to the County Manager’s Office via the Deputy County Manager and is a key member of the County’s Leadership Team. The Information Technology Director is responsible for the County’s strategic use of technology operations for all County departments to improve processes and enhance resident services. This important leadership role will continuously collaborate with department directors regarding technology decisions and works closely with the County Manager’s Office to secure funding for technology projects. The Department has 15 full-time and 3 part-time positions with future plans to add an additional eight positions. The Technology Department’s operating budget for FY 2021 centralized services is $3,739,294.
This position requires a Bachelor’s degree plus a minimum of 10 years of responsible experience in information systems management; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
