The City of Manhattan Beach is offering an outstanding career opportunity for a progressive and strategic leader to serve as Information Technology Director. The ideal candidate must possess the ability to build strong working relationships with other departments and actively contribute as a member of the City’s executive management team. The top candidate will also have experience negotiating and overseeing contracts for IT services, acquisition of software and hardware, mobile applications, and transitioning out legacy systems. Additionally, the ideal candidate must possess strong fiscal management skills along with the demonstrated ability to incorporate right sized technology solutions in an environment of budget constraints. Requires a Bachelor’s degree and 8 years of increasingly responsible experience in the administration of information technology systems, which includes analysis, implementation and programming; such experience must include 3 years in a management capacity. Specific experience with cyber security and/or public agencies (including public safety services) is an added plus. A Master’s degree and/or related IT certifications are highly desirable.
Annual salary range for this position is $159,780 to $208,236 based upon the qualifications plus an excellent benefits package, including CalPERS retirement.
