The City of Carrollton, Texas is conducting a nationwide search for its inaugural Information Security Officer. Centrally located in the very attractive Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex, Carrollton is known for its high quality of life, outstanding schools, and safe neighborhoods. The City of Carrolton has a population of 135,000 residents and delivers its services to the community with an FY 2019-2020 annual budget of $243.2 million and 847 FTE employees. Any combination of education and experience that would likely provide the required knowledge and abilities is qualifying. A typical way to obtain the required knowledge and abilities would be with a Bachelor’s degree in a related field from an accredited university; seven years of progressively responsible information technology experience, with three years’ experience in information security; and at least one of the following certifications: Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), GIAC Security Essentials (GSEC), Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH), Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), or Certified Protection Professional (CPP) certification. Annual salary is +/- $140,000, DOQ, in addition to an excellent benefit package.
