The City of Morgan Hill is seeking a pragmatic and solution-oriented Information Technology (IT) professional to serve as its next Information Technology Director. Under the general supervision of the Chief of Police, the IT Director maintains a comprehensive information technology program and provides unifying leadership, strategic vision, and technical expertise in securing and supporting current and future City technologies. The IT Director is also responsible for overseeing a team of IT technicians and hiring other staff with needed skill sets responsible for infrastructure support, applications development, desktop support, telecommunications, and information security.
This position requires a Bachelor’s degree and 6 years of experience including 4 years in a management and supervisory capacity. Requires the ability to pass an expanded and more detailed employment background check to include clearances necessary for the Police Department and additional clearance required by the Department of Justice (i.e., criminal record check). CGCIO, CISM, and PMP licenses and certifications are strongly desired.
The salary range for this at-will position is $146,964 to $193,116 (DOQ) with an excellent executive benefit package including CalPERS retirement and automobile allowance of $325 and 1% towards deferred compensation plan after 4 years of employment, 2% over eight years.
