The Orange County Fire Authority (OCFA) is seeking an experienced Human Resources Manager to serve as an integral member of one the nation’s most progressive and professional fire service organizations. The ideal candidate will assume supervisory responsibility for key human resource services and activities within the Human Resources Department, with a heavy focus on employee relations. This is a critically important position that is key to ensuring positive relationships are established and maintained with OCFA employees and OCFA’s labor associations. The Human Resources Manager reports directly to the Assistant Chief of Human Resources and is responsible for an array of duties including the proper supervision of assigned employees, the prioritizing and assignments of their work tasks, conducting performance evaluations, ensuring staff are appropriately trained, and providing hiring, termination, and disciplinary recommendations. Requires a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field and five years of professional level human resource experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties. Candidates must have substantial union and labor relations experience. The Annual Salary range for this position is $105,580.80 to 167,668.80 DOQ, including a comprehensive benefits package.
