The City of Scottsdale, Arizona is offering an exciting career opportunity for a highly experienced Human Resources professional to serve in the position of Human Resources Director. This at-will position within the Human Resources Department is in the Administrative Services Division and reports to an Assistant City Manager. Responsibilities include providing executive leadership, direction, and management for the Human Resources Department which includes Employee Benefits, Recruitment and Selection, Employee Relations, Human Resources Administration, Employee Performance Management, Classification and Compensation, Training, and Workforce Development. Importantly, this position supports the City’s operating programs by assuring that administrative and operational human resources services are responsive to the needs of the City. The Human Resources Executive Director will oversee a staff of 22.

Requires a Bachelor’s Degree and 8 years of Human Resources management experience. An equivalent combination of education and job-related experience may substitute for the educational requirements on a year-for-year basis. Preferred experience includes government work experience. Preferred education includes Degree in Public Administration, Business Administration, Human Resources Management, or a related field; MPA, MBA or equivalent degree, or degree with coursework in human resource management; and/or Relevant human resources certifications.

The salary range for this position is $144,830 to $210,600. The City of Scottsdale offers a benefit package including membership to Arizona State Retirement System.
