Internationally known for its fine wines, exciting restaurants, and world-class resorts, Napa County (pop. 142,000) is currently recruiting nationally for a Health & Human Services Agency Director (HHSA Director). Appointed by the Board of Supervisors, this “at will” position reports directly to the CEO and is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day management of the Health & Human Services Agency. The Department is comprised of seven program divisions with a FY 2018-19 budget of $122,054,960 plus a staff of 481. The HHSA Director will assume full management responsibility for all HHSA services and activities including integrated services of the public health, mental health, alcohol and drug, public assistance, and social services programs and related administrative services.
This position requires a Bachelor’s degree and 10 years of increasingly responsible experience in a public or non-profit agency including 5 years of management and administrative responsibility. While California specific experience is highly regarded, lack of in-state experience is not exclusionary. The annual salary for the position is up to $236,995 (DOQ).
