The Dublin San Ramon Services District, located in Dublin, California, is currently recruiting for a General Manager. This exciting opportunity is available with the anticipated retirement of the current General Manager at the end of the year. Serving more than 196,000 residents in the Tri-Valley, DSRSD provides water, recycled water, and wastewater treatment services. For FY 2024, the District has 141 FTE positions and an operating budget of $81 million. The ten-year capital improvement program for FY 2024-2033 totals $327.2 million and includes 120 projects. Appointed by and reporting to the Board of Directors, the General Manager is responsible for leading and managing all the operations and affairs of the District including administration, finance, human resources, water and wastewater operations, engineering, and related support activities. The General Manager serves as a highly-engaged representative and advocate for the District within the service area, the region, and the state. The ideal candidate will be a highly qualified and experienced administrator with generalist skills who will oversee a well-run and highly technical organization with an engaging personal style.

Requires a Bachelor’s degree and 10 years of relevant professional experience including at least 5 years of executive-level experience in the water/wastewater industry. A Master’s degree is desirable. Experience working for a California public entity is highly valued although all highly qualified candidates from the private sector will be given equal consideration.

The anticipated annual salary for the General Manager is $285,000 to $335,000 DOQ. Additionally, the District offers an excellent executive benefit package, including CalPERS retirement and retiree medical; relocation expenses are negotiable.
