Oro Loma Sanitary District is currently searching for a highly qualified and experienced administrator who will oversee a well-run and highly technical organization. The General Manager for Oro Loma Sanitary District (OLSD) is an at-will position appointed by and receiving policy direction from the Board of Directors, assuming responsibility for the organization, direction and coordination of the business and operations of the District, and exercises direct supervision and management over all District personnel. With approximately 45 staff, OLSD serves approximately 135,000 people with approximately 46,000 customers in residential, commercial, and light industrial communities of Unincorporated Alameda County. Primary responsibility of the General Manager position deals with working with a public sector governing body and the array of issues related to leading and managing a public agency.

Requires equivalent to a Bachelor’s degree and 10 years of progressively responsible experience as a senior manager responsible for multi-million dollar budgets, negotiation and administration of large construction, engineering, or public works projects. Experience working with a governing board is essential. Experience dealing with critical infrastructure is strongly desired. Candidates who have experience in California are strongly desired, although all highly qualified individuals will also be given consideration.

The annual salary range for this position will be competitive for the region with a full array of benefits including retirement. The Board may consider reimbursement of a reasonable portion of moving expenses for the selected candidate.
