The next Executive Director for the East Bay Economic Development Alliance (East Bay EDA) will have the opportunity to lead a high-level, cross-sector, member-driven regional economic development organization in one of the world’s most economically active regions. East Bay EDA helps shape the future economic policy and innovation for the region, and the Executive Director plays a key leadership role in effective public-private partnerships with leading corporations and institutions. While the position receives strategic and policy direction from the Officers and members of its governing arm, East Bay EDA’s Executive Committee, the Executive Director also has a reporting relationship to the County Administrator of Alameda County. A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in public administration, business administration, or a related field are required. This position also requires a minimum of five years of progressively responsible full-time professional level experience in economic or community development, program administration, research, or a closely related field. A Master’s degree in a related field may be substituted for one-year of experience. The Civil Service Commission may modify the above minimum qualifications in the announcement of an examination. The position offers an annual salary range of $131,913-$194,854 with placement within the range dependent upon qualifications, and the opportunity for salary advancement with annual cost of living and performance-based adjustments.
