The City of Palm Springs is seeking a Deputy Director of Aviation – Marketing. The Airport is supported with 53 full time staﬀ members with a budget of 43 million. Serving under the direction of the Director and the City Manager, the Deputy Director of Aviation for Marketing is responsible for delivering and directing a full range of marketing and business development services, strategies, and opportunities that further develop best practices to achieve innovative solutions in air service programs and operations for the Airport. The Deputy Director will ensure overall accountability for eﬀective strategic planning and control of the City’s air service programs including operations, concessions, general aviation, air cargo, real estate, non-aviation, commercial and industrial business development opportunities, and land planning for airport future growth.
Requires a Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of increasingly responsible aviation experience, of which 3 years of experience in the last 10 years are directly related to air service development, airport business development, or airport marketing and communications. A Master’s degree is desired.
The annual salary for this position is up to $133,686 DOE/DOQ. The City also offers an attractive benefits package including CalPERS retirement.
