The City is supported by nearly 1,500 employees and has a General Fund budget of $227.9 million (total budget $424 million). Any combination of education, training, and experience that would likely provide the knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform in the position is qualifying. A typical combination includes: A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with a major in Public Administration, Business Administration, or related field. Eight years of proven experience in Public Management or Administration, including at least five years as a General Manager or Administrator of a major organization.

The salary range is up to $310,000 annually, commensurate with qualifications and experience of selected candidate. Salary is supplemented by a benefits package including CalPERS retirement.
