The City Council of Grand Terrace, in San Bernardino County, is seeking an energetic and enthusiastic professional to join this well-managed organization. This talented professional will be an effective hands-on manager for a staff of 25 and a combined budget of $10,901,454 (General Fund budget of $6,855,895). Ideally, the top candidate will be a generalist with emphasis on community development, complemented by a strong working knowledge of finance, revenue generation, and quality customer service. A critical aspect of this role is establishing rapport and a positive relationship with the entire City Council, community, and staff. The City Manager will also have proven intergovernmental relation skills and will enjoy working with community partners throughout the region.

Requires a Bachelor’s degree. An advanced degree is preferred. All highly qualified candidates from existing city manager to aspiring professional are strongly encouraged to apply. Experience working with an engaged elected body is strongly desired. The City Council will consider a broad spectrum of talented individuals with a preference for municipal service in a contract City in California.

The top step of the salary range for this position is $215,000 annually. The City also offers an excellent benefits package including CalPERS retirement.
