This pending vacancy is the result of an upcoming retirement. Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school and active membership in good standing with the Ohio Bar is required. Ideally, this position is well suited for a legal professional who has significant experience working directly for a government agency. Alternatively, a notable career in a private law firm in support of local government agencies or addressing key and transferable legal issues may also be considered if supported by a solid track record of success.

The annual salary offered for this position will be highly compensated and very competitive for the region and will be dependent on qualifications, experience, and overall career history. A benefits package including retirement provided by the Ohio Public Employee Retirement System (OPERS) will be offered. The City does not participate in Social Security.
