The City of Charlotte, North Carolina is recruiting nationally for an innovative Chief Information Officer (CIO). This at-will position reports to the City Manager’s Office and is a key member of the Executive Leadership Team. The CIO is directly responsible for the City’s strategic use of technology operations for all City departments to improve processes and enhance citizen services. The Department has 145 full-time city staff with an additional 30 contractors. The Technology Department operating budget for FY 2019 centralized services is approximately $58 million.
A Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 10 years of progressively responsible professional technology-related experience, including five years of which must be in a supervisory/management capacity is required.
