The County of Santa Clara is recruiting nationally for an experienced Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) for Santa Clara Valley Healthcare (SCVH) who is a dynamic, innovative, visionary, and highly collaborative leader. With a dedicated team of over 3,000 full-time staff, this position reports to the Chief Executive Officer and oversees operations for nursing and patient care services. The ideal candidate will have a current California Registered Nurse license at the time of the start date. Education: Graduation from an accredited Master’s degree program in Public Health Nursing, Nursing Administration, Health Administration, or a related field is highly desired.
Experience: Five to ten years of increasing experience and responsibility in nursing administration, a significant amount of which occurs in a senior nursing management position, preferably in a teaching hospital.
Licenses: Possession of a current and valid Registered Nurse License issued by the California Board of Registered Nursing is required prior to your start date.
The salary range for the Chief Nursing Officer is up to $327,568 dependent upon qualifications that will be based upon the selected candidate’s experience. Excellent benefits, including CalPERS retirement, included.
