The Dallas Housing Authority (DHA) is conducting a National search for the position of Chief Financial Officer (CFO). This is an extraordinary career opportunity to join one of the most creative and innovative housing authorities in the United States. With a staff of approximately 300 full-time employees and an FY 2018 operating budget of $230 million, DHA provides housing opportunities to 54,000 people through public housing developments and Housing Choice Voucher (Section 8) programs. The CFO oversees the Finance, Procurement, and Information Technology Departments. This Department has a combined staff of approximately 21 full-time employees including the CFO.
This position requires a Bachelor’s degree plus a minimum of 7 years of accounting work experience including 3 years of financial management and supervisory experience and 2 years in the public sector; or the equivalent combination of education and experience. Certified Public Accountant (CPA) is strongly desired but not required. DHA will provide a competitive salary (DOQ) and an excellent benefits package.
