The City of Delray Beach, Florida is recruiting nationally for a highly experienced professional to manage the budget requirements for the City’s FY 2020 $218 million operating budget and $77 million capital budget as the Budget Manager. The successful candidate will have a well-rounded public finance background with in-depth knowledge and experience in local government budgeting. The Budget Manager provides highly responsible and complex administrative support to the Finance Director and provides expert-level authority and consultative services on budget and fiscal issues to City officials, executive management, and all City departments. This position is responsible for the preparation and maintenance of the annual City budget and computing and verifying Departmental requests.
This position requires a Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 5 years of increasingly responsible experience in the preparation and monitoring of budgets and/or moderately complex accounting work. Any combination of experience, training, and education can be substituted for the minimum qualifications. Knowledge of TRIM is desired but not required.
The salary range for this position is up to $107,369 (DOQ). The Budget Manager will also receive an excellent benefits package.
