The City of Beverly Hills is offering an outstanding career opportunity for a strong visionary and collaborative leader to join this world-class organization as Assistant Director of Community Services. This position vacancy is the result of a recent retirement. Leading the day-to-day operations of the City of Beverly Hills Community Services Department, the Assistant Director works closely with the Director applying best practices to accomplish the Community Services Department-wide goals, programs, and projects. It is the responsibility of the Assistant Director to plan, organize, manage, and carry out the activities and services of the Department’s four main areas: the Beverly Hills Public Library, Recreation and Parks (including recreation programs and events, parks, and facilities), Arts and Culture (including arts and culture programs, special events, and facilities), Human Services, and Administrative Support.
Requires an equivalent to a Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of progressively responsible recreation and/or parks management and supervisory experience, including a minimum of 3 years at a senior management level. A Master’s degree is highly desirable. Experience in California with public agencies is strongly preferred.
The annual salary range for this position is $167,544 to $209,424. The City offers an attractive benefit package including CalPERS retirement.
