Let’s Talk About Ransomware [Infographic + Resource Guide]

In case you haven’t heard, last weekend a brutal ransomware attack crippled companies and organizations in 150 countries. The attack targeted major businesses, hospitals, and universities across the globe. Luckily, a cyber researcher in the UK managed to contain the attack before it got too much traction in America; but Russia, China, India, and many European countries suffered significant damage.

Ransomware is a very real threat – not just to large companies and organizations – but also to the average individual. Since the beginning of 2016, more than 4,000 ransomware attacks have occurred every day. This statistic represents a 300% increase over 2015. (Gammons, 2017)

This threat is not going away anytime soon. So, we at Ralph Andersen & Associates, want to help you understand ransomware and how to defend against it.
