Located in California’s Central Valley, the Board of Trustees of the Merced Community College District are seeking highly qualified candidates for the position of Superintendent/President. Established in 1962, Merced College is a comprehensive two-year institution offering outstanding programs in agriculture, business, computer science, industrial technology and a variety of allied health programs.
Reporting to a seven-member Board of Trustees, the Superintendent/President will oversee a District with a current operating budget of $50 million. The Superintendent/President will oversee 177 full-time and 271 part-time faculty members.
Minimum qualifications include a Master’s degree from an accredited educational institution. Senior administrative-level experience in a reasonably related executive position (e.g., education, business industry, government, non-profit, etc.); and demonstrated sensitivity to and understanding of the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, gender, disability, and ethnic/racial backgrounds of community college students.
