Located in northern
Sutter County, Live Oak has a population of approximately 8,000 residents
complimented by a thriving rural community with many reasonably priced
new homes, good local schools, and nearby colleges. Incorporated in
1947, Live Oak operates under the Council/Manager form of government.
The City’s annual budget exceeds 18 million, with 20 permanent
employees. The ideal candidate will have experience dealing with land
use and development issues in a municipal setting. A Bachelor’s
degree in business, public administration, or related field is required.
Qualifying experience includes five years of increasing responsible
professional experience which includes supervision, and significant
experience overseeing and dealing with budget and financial issues.
California experience is beneficial although not mandatory. Annual salary
up to $100,000 with a benefits package including PERS Retirement (2.5%
@ 55 with Employee’s contribution of 8% paid by the City).
