The Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation
Authority (Metro) is conducting a national search for the position of
Executive Officer-Highway Project Management. Ideal
candidates will be highly skilled project managers with a proven track
record of delivering on time and within budget. The Project Director
will report to the Deputy Chief Capital Management Officer and will
be responsible for the successful construction of a 10 mile High Occupancy
Vehicle lane on the northbound Interstate I-405 between I-10 and the
101 freeways. The project schedule is for four years, with an anticipated
additional one year contract closeout period, for a total of five years.
Graduation from a recognized college or university with a degree in
Engineering with a California license as a Professional Engineer is
required. In addition eight years’ senior management-level experience
in the design and/or construction of major design build projects including
extensive experience managing highway projects is also required. The
salary range for the position of Executive Officer-Highway Project Manager
is up to $213,962 per year commensurate with experience and qualifications.
