The San Francisco Health Service Board (Board) is currently recruiting for an Executive Director of the San Francisco Health Service System (SFHSS). With a benefits budget of over $800 million and an administrative/operations budget of $11 million, SFHSS negotiates and administers benefits approved by the Board for the over 116,000 employees, retirees, and their dependents of the City and County of San Francisco, San Francisco Unified School District, Community College of San Francisco, and San Francisco Superior Court. Subject to the policy determinations of the Board, the Executive Director is responsible to, and works with, the Board in developing, negotiating, and implementing employee benefit programs. Additionally, the Executive Director is responsible for the overall management of the SFHSS. This position requires a Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of management-level employee benefits/health plan administrative experience with 3 years of senior management/executive level employee benefits/health plan administrative experience. Possession of an advanced degree and/or a professional certification. The salary range for this position is $165,698 to $211,458 and is supplemented by flexible benefit plans.
