The City of Greensboro, North Carolina (pop. 270,000) is seeking an experienced, motivated, hands-on City Manager with strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal abilities. This at-will executive level position reports to an elected Mayor and eight council members. The City of Greensboro has 22 department heads and 3,000 full-time positions with an annual budget of approximately $450 million. This is an exciting, stable opportunity to work with a very capable staff on a variety of opportunities and challenges. Requires a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with significant responsible executive management experience. A Master’s degree or other advanced degree may be considered a plus. The successful candidate will receive a highly competitive salary with an excellent benefit package. Starting salary will depend on compensation history and qualifications.
