Broward County, Florida is recruiting nationally for an experienced and highly motivated Risk Manager to plan, organize, and direct the activities of the Risk Management Division, which is self-insured/administered for workers’ compensation, general liability, automobile liability, and property damage claims. The Risk Management Division is organized into six sections including Administration and Accounting; Information Systems; Insurance Requirements and Contracts; Liability; Safety and Occupational Health; and Workers’ Compensation. The Director of Risk Management is an at-will position reporting to the Chief Financial Officer of Broward County, and oversees a capable staff of 38 full time positions. A Bachelor’s degree and at least six years of experience with self-insurance or risk management programs, including six years of high level supervisory/administrative experience in all related risk management areas is required. The salary range for the Director of Risk Management is $107,123 to $170,967 (DOQ).
