Position: Deputy Municipal Utilities Director/Water Resources Planning

With its central location, affordable housing, and emerging economy, the City of Stockton offers an exciting career opportunity for a Deputy Municipal Utilities Director/Water Resources Planning. This at-will position reports directly to the Director of Municipal Utilities and is responsible for providing leadership and oversight to the Water Utility, which has a staff of 52 and a $49.5 million budget. The ideal candidate will have the technical skills necessary to effectively manage a large and complex water production and distribution system, including water treatment processes, pumping systems, SCADA systems, and integrated energy management systems. Requires a Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of progressively responsible experience in water resources planning or management in a water utility with a combination of experience with ground and surface water resources. California registration as a PE is required. Annual salary up to $149,345 plus an excellent benefit package including CalPERS retirement.
