This newly created position of General Manager of Utilities, Development and Operations will be a key member of the City’s Executive Leadership team. This position offers an exciting opportunity for a well-rounded individual with significant experience in construction and capital projects to oversee a variety of public works and community development programs for this community (pop. 66,570) including oversight of planning. This position requires a minimum of six years of increasingly responsible management experience in municipal government including three years as head of a city department or major division are required as well as a track record of success in managing capital projects. Bachelor’s degree in business administration, public administration, construction management, engineering, or a related field is required. Masters or other advanced degree a plus. Professional engineering license not required but may be a plus. The salary range for this position is up to $148,754. Benefit package includes CalPERS (2.5@55); employee pays 8% toward retirement.
