The District is
responsible for wastewater treatment for Clark County, and is seeking
a qualified individual to manage its facilities in Laughlin, Nevada
(pop. 8,000). Laughlin is an unincorporated town located on the Colorado
River and includes several large casino resorts. This position oversees
a staff of 16 and is responsible for all operations and maintenance
in providing wastewater collection, treatment and disposal services.
The District is looking for a proven manager who can exercise independent
judgment in providing the best possible sewage treatment services for
the Laughlin community. Effective communication skills with District
staff, other agencies and the Laughlin Town Advisory Board are also
desired. A Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, public
administration or related field, and five years experience in wastewater
collection, treatment and disposal, including two years supervisory
and management experience, is desired. Equivalent combination of education
and experience may be considered. Ability to obtain Nevada Grade IV
Wastewater Operator’s Certificate after one year is required.
Salary to $112,881 with an excellent benefits package.
