The largest local park agency in the country, East Bay Regional Park District (Park District), is offering a rewarding opportunity for a highly energetic and experienced human resource professional to serve as Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO). Reporting directly to the Deputy General Manager, the CHRO provides high quality support to the Park District’s employees, maximizes employer-employee relationships, and recognizes and celebrate staff’s contributions. The CHRO will oversee a Human Resources function comprised of 12 full-time employees and a 2017 operating budget of $2.9 million. This position requires a Bachelor’s degree and 8 years of professional level experience in the field of human resources with two years of management/supervisory experience. The salary range for this position is $143,208 to $182,749 with possible future merit steps up to $211,557. The Park District also offers an attractive benefits package including CalPERS retirement.
