The City of El Paso is recruiting nationally for an experienced, visionary financial leader with a proven and verifiable track record of implementing best practices to serve as the Chief Financial Officer (CFO). The CFO is a key member of the City’s executive management team and has considerable interface with all City departments, elected and appointed officials, and members of the public and business owners, among others. The CFO oversees the City budget of $895.5 million, is responsible for aiding in the formulating of policy alternatives, developing goals and objectives, and strategically directing the day-to-day financial operations of the City. This position requires a Bachelor’s degree and at least 10 years of progressively responsible professional experience in financial management, financial analysis, accounting and auditing, budgeting and forecasting, treasury and investment management, and debt issuance and management in a municipal, local, or other governmental entity and 4 years of supervisory and management experience over a related major division or organization. The salary range for this position is $117,861 to $210,971 (DOQ).
