The Turlock Irrigation District is conducting a national search for the position of Chief Financial Officer/Assistant General Manager – Financial Services (CFO). This recruitment is due to the retirement of the current CFO after several years of successfully serving this fully integrated electric utility providing irrigation water and electrical services. Reporting directly to the General Manager, the CFO oversees a highly capable staff of approximately 46 full-time employees assigned to the following areas: Finance, Materials Management, and Information Services. The CFO serves as the top financial advisor for the District and has the responsibility for related assets of more than $1.7 billion and gross annual revenue of more than $330 million. A Bachelor’s in accounting with emphasis in finance and business administration is required. CPA required and must be bondable. Candidates must have 10 years increasingly responsible finance and accounting experience including extensive experience in municipal financing and investing. Experience working directly for irrigation districts or a municipal electric utility is desired. Private sector candidates with experience working with public agencies in a similar capacity are encouraged to apply. The salary range for this position is up to $230,136 with an excellent executive benefit package.
