The Chief Financial Officer/Director of Finance and Administrative Services for Broward County (18th largest county in the nation with $3.6B Total Budget, 5,400 Employees, 60 agencies) will be a seasoned executive with a clear bottom-line financial orientation. The CFO will be skilled at managing in a fast-paced and dynamic environment; that rare individual who will have that big picture vision and, at the same time, be able to establish credibility as a decisive, results-oriented financial professional committed to excellence, independence, transparency, and fiscal accountability. The CFO also has departmental oversight of 550 staff; $2 billion investment portfolio and operating budget of $279 million. This ideal candidate will also be an exceptional listener, communicator, and an accomplished presenter in a public forum. Bachelor’s required and nine years of progressively responsible experience in public finance administration and general public administration, including five years in an executive or administrative capacity. Annual salary range is up to $195,736 DOQ.
