This is an outstanding opportunity for an experienced Risk Manager to provide leadership to robust, member-driven, self-funded insurance pool providing services to local government agencies. Top candidates will be well served with a broad based set of qualifications and experience. Important to the ABAG Plan Members is the combination of technical skills complemented by outstanding communication and interpersonal skills with a focus on providing responsive customer service and support. This position requires progressively responsible management experience in a governmental agency, private organization or firm, including senior managerial experience. Experience dealing with risk management in a pooled insurance environment is strongly desired. Bachelor’s degree is required. Master’s degree is a plus and professional certifications are highly regarded. Starting salary will be in the mid-$140,000s plus CalPERS Retirement (2.5@55).
