Glynda Steiner will be new Assistant Division Director

The division is pleased to announce that Glynda Steiner will become SWD’s new Assistant Division Director on May 1.
The search for a new assistant division director has been a long and comprehensive effort that involved a national recruitment, the thoughtful input of many employees participating from all corners of our division during “Meet and Greets”, and the scrutiny of SWD’s management team.
Glynda has extensive experience working in the public sector, including serving as the Construction Management Division Director for Seattle Public Utilities and, most recently, as an Asset Management PMO and Standards Senior Manager for Seattle City Light. Glynda is a registered civil engineer in California and Washington, and is certified in asset and construction management, among many other qualifications.
Division Director Pat McLaughlin welcomes Glynda to the division, and personally thanks all division staff who spent time meeting with Glynda and providing their feedback. Without the dedication of our staff, making a hiring decision would have been much more difficult. When you see Glynda, please take the time to introduce yourself and welcome her to our division.
Additionally, McLaughlin extends his gratitude to Eben Sutton who has diligently served as the Interim Division Director. Eben will continue in a Special Duty capacity providing transition support and managing special projects. He will move his office to the Scale House Conference Room during this time. In the meantime, the division has asked Manny Cristobal to stay on as Interim Enterprise Services Manager until Eben transitions back into that role.
